Part-Time Contract Grant Finance Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Grant Finance Specialist to manage the invoicing and financial tracking for our various grant-funded programs. This is a part-time contract position ideal for someone with entry-level finance or bookkeeping experience who is passionate about ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit invoices for various grants, ensuring compliance with specific grant requirements and documentation standards.
  • Maintain audit-ready files for each grant, with detailed and organized records.
  • Provide insight into the financial status of each grant, including budget tracking and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the head bookkeeper to report accurate financial data and insights.
  • Understand and adhere to the unique requirements of each grant, providing tailored solutions for invoicing and documentation.
  • Monitor grant budgets, flagging discrepancies or concerns promptly.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Entry-level experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping. Prior experience with grant management is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of financial documentation and audit requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (QuickBooks or similar platforms preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders.
