MISSION


Bay Area Maranatha Christian Center is excited to announce our B.O.O.S.T Kids After School Program for kindergarten through 12th grade. Our program will focus on Science, Technology, Engineering Arts (including music), and Math starting September 2024 to May 2025. We will also offer tutoring in reading, math, and English.

Goals

STEAM Education and Mindset Preparation:
  • Provide marginalized communities with access to STEAM education.
  • Prepare children’s mindsets for impact and success in STEAM fields.
  • Expose students to the fundamentals of hardware and software design with real C-based coding applications.
  • Lessons can be completed with a computer and the electronic components in the kit.
  • Offer Teacher Resources, including training and instructional guides.
  • Include access to guided video tutorials in LINGO’s online learning portal.

Music and Creative Expression:
  • Provide music lessons to foster creativity and emotional expression.
  • Incorporate various musical genres and instruments to engage students and enhance their learning experience.

Promote Family Reunification and Bonding:
  • Strengthen community and support networks.
  • Break the cycle of intergenerational incarceration.
  • Enhance mental health and reduce trauma for children with justice-involved parents.
